Mason Monterey Bedroom SOLD

The following pieces of a great middle period bedroom set created in the style of Juan Tinoco is for sale.  A find of ours!

SIX PIECE SLEEPY MEXICAN BEDROOM SET SOLD

The original set had one owner, we being the second.  The set is in good condition, with little damage as described below.  (We are quite picky.)  No restoration work was performed on these pieces unless described.  The entire set consists of:

• 1 twin beds (Mexican carrying water motif),
• a center bedside table (twin cactus motif),
• a lowboy chest of drawers (cactus motif), and
• a mirror (Sleeping Mexican motif).

All of the pieces are marked but the bedside table with the burned horse shoe and name.  All appear to be from the same time frame as they are all marked with the same items numbers, “780.”  I have recently been told by a collector that this cannot possibly have been made when Tinoco was working with Mason.

The middle period Desert Dust finish
ca. 1937 Mason Monterey mirror  features
the sleepy Mexican with the tilted sombrero.
It is in excellent condition, with minor wear as is appropriate.
Overall size is 30.75 high x 24 wide.
Mirror size is 23.25 high x 19.25 wide.

This is a middle period Desert Dust finish ca. 1937 Mason Monterey Lowboy Dresser featuring cacti and a Mexican pot.

Monterey name brand and horseshoe are on back.  In good condition, with minor wear as is appropriate.   Drawers seat well, with no hang-ups.

There are darkened spots here and there as you can see in the images; the piece is in amazing condition.

The twin bed, Monterey name brand and horseshoe are on back.  In good condition, with minor wear as is appropriate.  Slats are strong, no cracks, and slip into headboard and footboard easily.  There are darkened spots here and there.
