Crater Lake Centennial Quilt


The Crater lake Centennial Quilt consisting of nineteen squares created in collaboration by various people associated with Crater Lake National Park needed to be cleaned and several tears or tiny rips repaired after touring for several years.  The challenge was in working with non-traditional modern materials, some of which were glued onto the surface. Both dry- and wet-cleaning techniques were used.  The squares after treatment, below.
